A Zebra printer that won't feed labels, or feeds them inconsistently, is usually one of a small set of causes: the media isn't loaded correctly, the gap sensor is misaligned, or the printer needs calibrating. Working through them systematically fixes the vast majority of feeding problems without a service call.
Check the media is loaded correctly
The first check is the media path. Labels should feed from the roll or fanfold stack cleanly, with the guides snug against the media but not pinching, and the roll seated properly on its spindle. A roll that's off-centre or guides that are too tight are the most common cause of a printer that won't feed or feeds crooked.
Confirm the gap or mark sensor is aligned
Thermal printers detect the gap between labels, or a black mark, using a sensor that must be positioned where the gap actually is. If the sensor is off to one side of the gap, the printer can't tell where one label ends and the next begins. Check the sensor position against the label's gap or mark location.
Run a calibration

Check the label size setting
If the driver or printer is set to the wrong label size, the printer will feed the wrong distance per label, causing labels to bunch up or skip. Confirm the label size is set to 100 × 150mm, or whatever your stock actually is, in both the driver and the printer settings.
Clean the rollers and media path

Look for a stuck or jammed label
A label that's peeled partway and stuck to a roller or the printhead will stop feeding entirely. Open the printer and check for any label debris or adhesive residue in the media path, because a tiny scrap in the wrong place can halt feeding completely.
When to escalate
If loading, sensor alignment, calibration and cleaning don't fix it, the problem may be a worn roller, a failing sensor or a firmware issue, and it's worth checking Zebra's support or a service provider. But these hardware failures are far rarer than the simple causes above, so work through the basics first.
